  Summary: The data table and chart below provide comparisons with other cities in Alameda County as it pertains to total expenditures and total expenditures per capita.  Union City is near the bottom for total expenditures per capita when compared to other cities and this follows upon the fact that Union City also has one of the lowest revenue per capita figures in the county.  Union City is approximately half the average when it comes to total expenditure per capita.  Due to low revenue, Union City has to be highly selective with its expenditures.
