Summary of Cities Financial Transactions Report
The Administrative Services Department is composed of several programs that provide a variety of services to the city. The Finance division is responsible for accounts payable, payroll, licensing and cashiering and financial reporting to other departments within the city as well as to outside agencies. This division is in charge of treasury, debt management and financial planning, which includes budgeting, long-range financial planning, management analysis and strategic planning.
The Personnel division handles the recruitment of new employees, updates and maintains the records of current employees and processes the benefits for both current and former employees. Financial management of the city's self-insured general liability and worker's compensation insurance programs is carried out through the Risk Management Program.
The Management Information Systems division maintains the city's central computer operations, personal computers, software support and maintenance, e-mail system and telecommunications. The Central Services program handles mail delivery and printing services to other city departments as well as the purchasing of basic supplies for general use.
