Union City Fire Department's own Sprinkler the Clown has taught over 7000 Union City children to practice fire and life safety.

Sprinkler has entertained and educated kids at local schools, during fire station tours, and before preschool groups. Sprinkler has also been a special guest at the annual Community Services Halloween Festival, the Optimist Club/Viola Blythe Children's Christmas party, and State Senator Figueroa's Public Safety Day.

Sprinkler reminds kids of important safety topics such as not playing with matches; stop, drop, and roll when your clothes catch on fire; crawl low in smoke and know two ways out; dialing 911 in an emergency; checking your smoke detector; and train safety.  All of the children also get a chance to see a firefighter in full protective gear, and, of course, an opportunity to sit in the fire engine.

This coming year Sprinkler is looking forward to visiting all of the local grade schools and doing assembly presentations for the first, second, and third graders.  Please call the number listed below to schedule Sprinkler for your school!
