As a service to the community, the city clerk's office also assists residents in the preparation of paperwork necessary to obtain a U.S. passport. We are a designated United States Department of State Passport Acceptance Office.

How long does it take to process my application?
The U.S. Department of State's commitment is that customers will receive their passports within 30 business days (6 weeks) from receipt of completed applications by Passport Agencies. Allow an additional 7 days for mailing.

Expedited services
Those wishing to receive their passports sooner may request expedited service, which assures processing within 3 business days from receipt of completed applications by Passport Agencies. The additional cost (see fee schedule) to expedite your application made payable BY CHECK OR MONEY ORDER ONLY to Department of State.  It may take 7-10 business days for receipt of passport due to mailing time. Two-way overnight mail is available for additional fees.
