These are just some of the positions Union City Leisure Services seeks to fill as it gears up for another busy and fun-filled summer of day camps and other recreational programs. Early Bird Summer Camp Sign-up Night
Mark your calendar and get a head start on planning your child's summer vacation! Join us at the Union City Leisure Services Early Bird Summer Camp Sign-up Night on Wednesday, March 24 from 6 to 8 pm at the Holly Community Center, 31600 Alvarado Blvd. This is a special opportunity to preview and register for day camp programs before regular registration begins. Need Computer Assistance?
The Union City Leisure Services Senior Program is now offering drop-in computer and electronics assistance on Monday afternoons at the Ruggieri Senior Center. Local high school students will gladly help you to better understand your computer, cell phone, digital camera or iPod? No weekly commitment, come by any week. 3rd Annual Young Artists Faire

Entries are now being accepted for Union City's Third Annual Young Artists Faire. This event is open to residents of the Bay Area who are between 5 and 19 years of age. All forms of art will be judged, including photography, painting (water color, oils), sculptures, ceramics and more. All entries must be received by Wednesday, March 11th. Scholarships for Afterschool Program

Union City Leisure Services is now accepting applications for full scholarships to the Club Une afterschool program. Scholarships are available only for eligible low income students from Barnard White, Cesar Chavez and Alvarado middle schools. Applications will be processed on a first come/first served basis, and will be accepted at Kennedy Community Center, Holly Community Center and City Hall.

The Artful Steps Program's Art Show
The Artful Steps Program for special needs individuals is proud to announce a very special art show. The multi-media group show by the artists of the program is scheduled from February 16th through March 16th at Paddy's Coffee House, 3900 Smith Street. A special artists reception is planned for Friday, February 26th at 7:00 pm, also at Paddys. For more information pelase call (510) 567-2621.

Union City's award-winning Leisure Services department provides recreation and leisure services to the entire community. Recently honored by the California Park and Recreation Society, UCLS operates the Holly Community Center, Kennedy Community Center, Ruggieri Senior Center, Sports Center, Teen Center, Teen Workshop and, in the summer, the Dan Oden Swim Complex.

UCLS offers a wide variety of programs designed to meet the needs of children, teens, adults and seniors in our community. Programs include fee classes; summer, winter and spring day camps; after school middle school programs; youth sports; aquatics; arts; tot time; senior lunches; community gardens; volunteer recruitment and special needs programs for people with physical and mental disabilities.
