Online & Mail-In Crime Reports

English Español Français  中文

Members of the community can now make police reports via the Internet. This "Online Reporting Program" allows the community to report certain crimes efficiently. This increased efficiency allows the department to respond to higher priority calls for service in a timely manner. Upon completion of the report; a case number is immediately provided to the reporting party. The reporting party may print a free copy of the report if they wish to do so.

The following types of reports are documented using the "Online Reporting Program" if there is no suspect information:

  • Thefts from locked or unlocked vehicles.
  • Petty thefts.
  • Vandalism.
  • Insurance Reports - When a caller is referred by an insurance company
  • Lost property reports, such as lost wallets, purses and cellular phones; however, passports are not included in this program.
  • Annoying phone calls.

An alternative to the online reporting of a crime is to use our " Mail-In-Report " program. If you wish to make a police report that qualifies for this program call 510-471-1365. You will need to briefly speak with a police dispatcher and explain your individual situation. If your report qualifies for this program you will be given a case number for your records.

Click on "Mail-In-Report " form and follow the instructions and mail the hard copy back to Union City Police Department.

If you have any questions about a report you wish to submit please call (510) 471-1365 for further assistance.
