Eleventh Street Project
Access to New Intermodal Station District
Back to ACTIA Funded Projects
The Eleventh Street Extension Project, located just south of Decoto Road near the BART Station, consisted of building a roadway from Decoto Road, through the former PG&E pipe storage yard and the former Pacific State Steel Corporation (PSSC) site, was completed in late 2005. The project is part of the planned Intermodal Station District Plan and will provide access to the new KB Home housing developments as well as to all the developments that will be located in this Transit Oriented Development (TOD) area.
The Eleventh Street Enhancement Project has completed the street improvements by adding bike lanes, wide sidewalks, and landscaping, etc., to this four-lane roadway. This project began construction in Fall 2006 and was completed in late 2007.
The construction of this enhancement project was funded by Measure B Bicycle and Pedestrian Countywide Discretionary Program, Measure B Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety funds, TDA Article 3 funds and City’s Redevelopment Agency Funds.
Decoto Road Connector Project: This new roadway is an essential element of the proposed Intermodal Station which reconfigures the current circulation pattern at the BART parking lot by providing connection to Decoto Road.
