Bulky Item Pickup
Got a bulky item you need to get rid of such as furniture (couch, chair, dresser, cabinet, bookshelf, mattress) or appliances (refrigerator, washer, stove)?
Allied Waste (657-3500) offers Single-Family and Parcelized Multi-Family customers two on-call FREE bulky pickups per year. Additional pickups are available for a fee.
Tips for a successful bulky pickup:
- Before you begin a cleanup project, schedule an appointment to have your items picked up. Call 657-3500 and ask to schedule a bulky pickup.
- Set out no more than four cubic yards (6 ft. x 6 ft. x 3 ft) of materials.
- Wait until the night before the scheduled pickup to place your items on the curb. If materials are put out too soon, it may encourage others to add to your trash pile and it won't be picked up.
- If your trash is not picked up, you will be required to move the materials out of public view until a new pickup is scheduled.
- Weight limit per item: 150 pounds (excluding major appliances)
- Small throwaways MUST BE bagged or boxed - loose throwaways WILL NOT be picked up.
- Oven, refrigerator doors must be taped.
