Food Scrap Survey 2005 Note: Due to technical problems, we are currently unable to accept online submissions of the survey. Please fill out and print the survey, then fax to (510) 441-2943 or mail to City of Union City, c/o Recycling Coordinator, 34009 Alvarado-Niles Road, Union City, CA 94587. Questions? Please call (510) 675-5466. Thank you Let us know what you think about food scrap recycling. In September, Union City launched a new recycling program designed to divert a significant amount of waste from the landfill. More than 16,000 households in our city were provided with a free kitchen pail to collect food scraps. Residents fill the pails with leftovers and food-soiled paper products and then empty the pail into their green yard waste cart. Tri-Ced reports an increase in the amount of organic material collected from homes in Union City since the new program started. We would appreciate receiving your feedback about the new Food Scrap Recycling Program. Please take a moment to answer the questions below.
