The Union City Fire Department is the all risk emergency services provider in the city of Union City. The department strives to identify and mitigate potential threats to the community; prepares to respond to those threats that cannot be mitigated; and provides emergency services when medical emergencies, fires, auto accidents and natural disasters occur in the city.
The Union City City Fire Department has 47 uniformed employees and one administrative assistant. Emergency services including paramedic services are provided by fire personnel from four fire stations located strategically throughout the city. The department averages approximately 4,500 calls for service a year.
