Household Hazardous Waste

Household hazardous waste is any hazardous waste generated from owning or maintaining a residence. It includes paints, solvents, varnishes, acids, flammables, acrylics, and resins. The most affordable and convenient way for Union City residents to dispose of these wastes is to take them to a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) drop-off facility.

HHW Facilities

There are two HHW facilities in Southern Alameda County (in the cities of Fremont and Hayward). For more information on HHW, you can also visit the Alameda County Household Hazardous Waste website.
