The Community Policing and Problem Solving (COPPS) team works with residents to raise awareness about crime prevention and to help people resolve neighborhood problems, such as neighbor disputes, property crime, vandalism, and other resident concerns not commonly handled by patrol officers. We believe preventing chronic crime and problems starts in addressing the underlying causes of it, like specific managing neighborhood conditions, social disorder and fear of crime.
We also coordinate community events where police officers and residents can interact and get to know each other, such as National Night Out, Coffee with Cops, and our popular events during the holiday season.
Meet the COPPS team -- Sergeant Freddy Camacho and Community Resource Coordinator Crystal Raine. If you are interested in learning more about what they do or if you would like to address a community problem, you can reach us via email or phone.
