Some City residential areas located near schools or transportation centers have experienced parking congestion, so parking restrictions have been established in neighborhoods where residents have petitioned the City Council for regulated neighborhood parking for local residents.

Residents living in restricted parking areas may purchase Residential Parking Permits that exempt their vehicles from the parking restrictions. Residential Parking Permits are valid for a full year and can be purchased at the City Hall cashier station during business hours at a cost of $55 per household for up to five (5) parking permits for five (5) vehicles. Residents must show proof that they reside in a neighborhood where parking has been restricted by providing a copy of a vehicle’s registration and photo identification.
