The Union City Police Department is proud to participate in the Pink Patch Project.
The goal of this campaign is to raise awareness about the fight against breast cancer and to support breast cancer research organizations in combating this devastating disease. This campaign also raises funds to further the research, treatment, and care of those who are battling and have battled breast cancer.
During the month of October, members of our police department will wear pink shoulder patches on their uniforms in support of this effort and to encourage awareness and conversations.
If you are a community member and want to help support breast cancer research, treatment and education with us, you can purchase a Pink Patch for $10.
Purchase your pink patch at the front counter of Police Department or make arrangements for the patches to be mailed directly to you. These patches also make great gifts!
For other questions or to order a patch, contact Officer Russell Orlando at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 510.458.3727.
We are especially thankful for the great support received from West Coast Cleaners for making sure that all of our police personnel can transition to these pink patches seamlessly, UCPD police personnel and UCPD Police Officers Association (our first sponsors), and to all of our individual supporters.
