Union City has been working on and committed to the vision of the Station District for almost twenty years. The City has invested $82 million in addition to securing competitive grants that bring the total investment up to $161 million. The City Council supports high-density job centers at BART, while experienced city staff facilitate a rapid entitlement process. The housing in the Station District is close to job centers and accessible by transit. This vision of a true transit-oriented community is a reality, and it is a reality here.
