Living in Vehicles

The CAREavan Program is a special project organized by the City of Union City, Union City Family Center, local community and faith-based organizations in an effort to provide families and/or individuals who have been displaced and are temporarily homeless, living in their vehicles, and need a safe place to park overnight. The program operates seven days a week, 8:00PM - 7:00AM. No RV's or Motorhomes allowed in the program.

Food and Hygiene Resources

As part of its commitment to serve the Tri-Cities, the CleanStart Mobile Hygiene Unit is currently taking place on Fridays and Sundays at the following locations:

  • Our Lady of the Rosary Church - 703 C Street, Union City, Friday  from 4:00PM - 7:00PM (includes free dining)
  • Kennedy Park - 1333 Decoto Road, Union City, Sunday from 7:00AM - 10:00AM.
