CALL TO ARTISTS! | UTILITY BOX MURAL PROGRAM

Union City is pleased to release a call to artists for its Utility Box Mural Program for utility boxes in Union City. Artists must either live or have an art studio in Alameda County to apply. Proposals will be accepted on a continuous basis

PARENT & ME SUGAR SKULL PAINTING!

Studio 11 is excited to announce our Fall Parent & Me Sugar Skull Painting on Canvas! Our instructor will lead you and your child in a step-by-step, beginner level, acrylic-on-canvas painting. We make it easy! All materials an directions are provided for both parent and child.

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

Union City Community & Recreation Services is now accepting entries for our third annual Dia de los Muertos Altar Contest!  Traditionally, ofrendas are colorful and decorative, laden with gifts to please returning spirit guests.  Your ofrenda can be a general celebration of ancestor's past, celebrity's or beloved pets.  Apply by 10/20/2023.  Register here: FA23SU-003

POP-UP ON THE PROMENADE

COMMUNITY CLOSET

The Community Closet is a grass roots program created by community leader, Sophia Dangerfield in collaboration with Union City Community & Recreation Services.  This program provides FREE clothing for ALL.  The Community Closet offers all types of FREE seasonal clothing for everyday clothing needs, school clothes, job interviews or a look for a special occasion!  The Community Closet also supports keeping our clothing longer, and purchasing new less, not only an economical benefit, but also an environmental act, which is a sustainable method.  Please check back at this site for the next Community Closet Event!
