Union City welcomes your participation in providing a safe Lunar New Year for all Union City residents.
- As a reminder the discharge of all types of fireworks in Union City are not allowed during the Lunar New Year.
- Fireworks that explode or go up in the air are illegal in California. This includes firecrackers, bottle rockets and skyrockets.
- Property owners can be fined up to $1,000 if fireworks are deployed from their property.
- Individuals possessing or deploying fireworks from any location may be fined up to $1,000.
