On Tuesday, May 9th, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Officer Olson was patrolling the 30100 block of Industrial Parkway and noticed a suspicious vehicle.  He contacted the two occupants and determined the vehicle was stolen.  He conducted a search of the vehicle, which yielded methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were arrested for possession of the stolen car and illegal drugs. 

ROBBERIES AND ATTEMPTED ROBBERIES

On Wednesday, May 17th, at approximately 7:20 p.m., officers responded to an armed robbery in the 31000 block of Vallejo Street.  Three suspects armed with handguns approached the victims and demanded their property.  The victims handed over their money and jewelry, and the suspects, all Black males in their twenties, drove off in a gray sedan.

On Friday, May 19th, at approximately 8:35 p.m., officers responded to a robbery in the 34500 block of Alvarado Niles Road.  The suspect stole an item from the store, and when the store employee confronted her, the suspect brandished a stun gun and threatened the victim with it.  Officers arrived, found the suspect a short distance away, and placed her under arrest.

On Saturday, May 20th, at approximately midnight, officers responded to a robbery in the 1500 block of Decoto Road.  Three suspects approached the victim in the parking lot, pistol-whipped and kicked him, took his property, then fled in a gray vehicle.  The victim described the suspects as an unknown-age Hispanic male, a white male, and a Black male.  Police conducted an area check but did not find the car.

SHOOTING 

On Friday, May 12th, at approximately 1:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting at an address in the 34800 block of Starling Drive. Officers arrived on the scene and found evidence of a shooting, but no victims.


ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON  

On Friday, May 12th, at approximately 5:10 a.m., officers responded to an interrupted auto burglary in the 1500 block of Decoto Road.  The victim found the suspect rummaging through the interior of her vehicle, so she called out to her boyfriend for help.  When her boyfriend tried detaining the suspect, he pulled a knife and slashed the victim's knee.  Officers conducted an area check but did not find the suspect.

On Sunday, May 21st, at approximately 1:20 p.m., officers responded to an assault in the 500 block of F Street.  The victim confronted several suspects who were in the process of stealing his brother’s vehicle. The suspects returned to their car and attempted to hit the victim with it. The victim jumped out of the way and did not sustain any injuries. The suspects were described as four juveniles wearing masks.

WEAPON BRANDISHING

On Saturday, May 20th, at approximately 11:53 p.m., officers responded to a weapon brandishing in the 2100 block of Decoto Road.  The victim told police that he was in an argument with the suspect over parking when the suspect proceeded to brandish a firearm at the victim.  Officers contacted the suspect and ultimately arrested him for weapon brandishing.

GRAND THEFT 

On Saturday, May 13th, at approximately 8:53 a.m., officers responded to a theft report in the 30000 block of Industrial Parkway.  Store employees told police that three suspects stole more than $3,000 worth of tools.  Officers positively identified one of the suspects, found him at a nearby hotel, and arrested him for grand theft.

BURGLARY

On Monday, May 8th, at approximately 3:00 a.m., officers responded to a burglary at a Union Landing business.  The suspect forced entry into the store after closing and stole property.  When officers arrived, the suspect tried fleeing but was eventually caught and arrested.

On Saturday, May 13th, at approximately 2:55 a.m., officers responded to an in-progress burglary in the 400 block of Honolulu Circle.  Officers arrived and called out to the suspects, who fled out the back door and were quickly taken into custody.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

On Monday, May 8th, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Officer Evoniuk observed a vehicle driving erratically and initiated a traffic stop.  He contacted the driver, who displayed objective symptoms of being under the influence and failed the field sobriety tests.  Officers placed him under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.

On Sunday, May 14th, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a vehicle collision on Union City Boulevard and Eastin Drive.  They contacted the driver, who displayed objective signs of being under the influence of alcohol.  Officers arrested the driver after failing field sobriety tests.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES

From Monday, May 8th, to Sunday, May 21st, there were four residential burglaries reported..

COMMERCIAL BURGLERIES

From Monday, May 8th, to Sunday, May 21st, there were five commercial burglaries reported.

AUTO BURGLARIES AND VEHICLE THEFTS

From Monday, May 8th, to Sunday, May 21st, there were twelve reported auto burglaries. Four of the burglaries occurred at the Union Landing shopping center, and the rest were in residential areas.

From Monday, May 8th, to Sunday, May 21st, there were twenty-five reported vehicle thefts. As of the time of this report, seven of the vehicles have been recovered.
