Just after midnight on Friday, June 9th, Officer Ayubzai contacted the driver of a vehicle during an enforcement stop in the 30600 block of Dyer Street.  During a search of the subject's vehicle, officers found a large amount of suspected methamphetamine in the car, including a drug pipe.  The driver was cited for possession of the drugs and equipment.

On Friday, June 16th, at approximately 10:05 p.m., K9 Officer Moya conducted a traffic stop in the 31900 block of Dyer Street.  He contacted the driver, who admitted to and displayed objective symptoms of being under the influence of marijuana.  Officers searched the car and found a firearm hidden under the driver's seat.  The driver was ultimately booked on eight felony firearms violations.

ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON  

On Friday, June 16th, at approximately 11:07 a.m., officers responded to a weapon brandishing in the 30600 block of Dyer Street.  The victim and suspect were involved in a road rage incident near Dyer Street and Whipple Road.  The suspect pulled out a large knife and brandished it at the victim while threatening to injure him.  The suspect then followed the victim into the parking lot, pointed a silver revolver at his face, and threatened to "end" him.  Officers arrived, detained the suspect, and found the firearm in the suspect's car during an inventory search.  Officers arrested the suspect for possession and assault with a firearm and criminal threats.


ROBBERIES AND ATTEMPTED ROBBERIES  

On Saturday, June 17th, at approximately 10:18 a.m., officers responded to a robbery in the 34500 block of Alvarado Niles Road.  Four suspects ran into the business and stole beer.  As they fled, they punched the victim in the face.  The victim described the suspects as three black males and one black female, all approximately 20 years old.

WEAPON BRANDISHING

On Sunday, June 11th, at approximately 12:55 p.m., officers responded to a weapon brandishing in the 32300 block of Alvarado Boulevard.  Two drivers were involved in a road rage incident in the parking lot of a business. One driver pointed a firearm at the other, then fled in a white car. The suspect driver was described as a Filipino male in his twenties.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

On Wednesday, June 7th, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Sergeant Jensen conducted a traffic stop on Whipple Road and Dyer Street.  He contacted the driver, who displayed objective symptoms of alcohol consumption and failed field sobriety tests.  He was arrested and booked into jail.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES

From Monday, June 5th, to Sunday, June 18th, there were no residential burglaries reported.

COMMERCIAL BURGLERIES

From Monday, June 5th, to Sunday, June 18th, there were seven commercial burglaries reported.


AUTO BURGLARIES AND VEHICLE THEFTS

From Monday, June 5th, to Sunday, June 18th, there were eight reported auto burglaries.  They all occurred in residential areas.

From Monday, June 5th, to Sunday, June 18th, there were twenty reported vehicle thefts. As of the time of this report, seven of the vehicles have been recovered.
