PROACTIVE ENFORCEMENT
On Friday, February 10th, at approximately 10:00 a.m., Officer Singh conducted a vehicle enforcement stop in the 30000 block of Industrial Parkway. He contacted the driver, who happened to be on probation. During a search, Officer Singh found marijuana and other items indicative of drug sales and placed him under arrest.
ROBBERIES AND ATTEMPTED ROBBERIES
On Saturday, February 4th, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a strong-armed robbery in the 30000 block of Industrial Parkway. Two suspects stole tools from the business, and when confronted by security, they threatened the security officer and fled with the merchandise. The next day, an eagle-eyed patrol officer spotted one of the suspects riding a bicycle and detained him. The victim responded and identified him, so officers arrested him for the robbery.
SHOOTING
On Sunday, February 5th, at approximately 1:00 a.m., officers responded to the report of gunshots on Jean Drive and Cabello Street. Although officers found shell casings strewn across the street, no victims or damage to cars were found.
DRUG POSSESSION
On Thursday, February 9th, at approximately 1:00 a.m., officers responded to an alarm at the 1700 block of Decoto Road. The alarm was determined unfounded, but officers contacted two subjects standing in front of the business. One of the subjects was on searchable probation and consequently searched. During the search, officers located a large amount of suspected methamphetamine and arrested him. The second subject was arrested for outstanding warrants.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
On Sunday, February 5th, at approximately 7:00 p.m., officers responded to Courthouse Drive and Dyer Street to check the area for a reckless driver. Officers found the car and conducted an enforcement stop on the car. Officers conducted field sobriety tests on the driver, which he failed, so they arrested him for driving under the influence of alcohol.
On Sunday, February 12th, at approximately 4:30 a.m., officers stopped to check on a motorist passed out behind the wheel in the 32000 block of Alvarado Niles Road. Officers determined the subject was intoxicated and arrested him for driving under the influence of alcohol.
BURGLARIES AND CAR THEFTS
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
From Monday, January 30th, to Sunday, February 12th, there was one residential burglary reported.
COMMERCIAL BURGLERIES
From Monday, January 30th, to Sunday, February 12th, there were six commercial burglaries reported.
AUTO BURGLARIES AND VEHICLE THEFTS
From Monday, January 30th, to Sunday, February 12th, there were thirty reported auto burglaries. Twenty of the burglaries occurred at the Union Landing shopping center, and the rest were in residential areas.
From Monday, 30th, to Sunday, February 12th, there were twenty-one reported vehicle thefts. As of the time of this report, eight of the vehicles have been recovered.
