Crisis Response Unit

The Crisis Response Unit (CRU) is comprised of two specialized teams: the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) and the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT). The unit has been established to provide specialized support in handling critical field operations where intense negotiations and/or special tactical deployment methods beyond the capacity of field officers appear to be necessary. The Crisis Response Unit is made up of specially trained tactical operators and negotiators who are ready to respond to hostage incidents, barricaded suspects, arrests of dangerous and armed suspects and any situation that could enhance the ability to preserve life, maintain social order and ensure the protection of property.
