Sign up for Union City's Make a Difference Day 2018

Americans in hundreds of communities across the country are spending Saturday, October 27 involved in volunteer projects to better their communities. This year, the City of Union City will conduct their 22nd "Make a Difference Day in Union City." Volunteers will plant trees, creek trail cleanup, wildflower planting and participate in beautification projects to improve the overall appearance of our community. If you want to Make a Difference in Union City and volunteer your time, complete and return the Volunteer Registration Form before October 22, 2018 to Union City's Public Works Department at 34009 Alvarado-Niles Road, Union City, CA 94587. You can also email forms to or fax to (510) 675-9885. Instructions and a map to the appropriate location will be mailed to you. Volunteers are asked to dress appropriately and if possible wear work gloves.

Date/Time: Saturday, October 27 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Locations will include:

  • Creek Clean-up at William Cann Civic Center Park
  • Tree Planting on H Street
  • Landscaping Project at Cottonwood Street
  • Beautification Project at Meyers Estate

Children under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult.
